in house week

Published by Scott under Uncategorized

We are currently in the middle of one of our three in-house weeks here at NLI. It’s a mandatory “no travel” week so that all of the staff here at the international office can get together and we can update everyone, train together and just spend some time together. Three times a year sounds fairly minimal but it still proves very difficult to fit these times in, even though we have them booked for the next 5 years! Such is the pressing need we all feel to “make hay while the sun shines” with new projects coming online each year we still see a huge need in Europe that without a serious multiplication of effort will take many years to fulfil.

romania update

Published by Scott under Romania,Travel

Dan arrived home on Monday evening looking tired from his time away in Romania. He had a great time with the team, they were able to visit some gypsy communities and minister in churches in the south east region near Constanta. They experienced some reality moments when they visited some orphanges for mentally disabled children, many of the team were affected by their living conditions. Dan went through the wars a little, he dislocated his shoulder and got a good case of food poisoning… all in all a good trip :)
