Read a very interesting article on the online Wall Street Jounal on the rise of militant atheism in Europe, you can read it here. The spiritual landscape here in Europe is constantly changing as populations migrate across traditional borders as do their traditions and beliefs.

Proponents of this new aggressive atheistic movement are intent on converting believers and non-believers alike by attacking traditional beliefs and faiths.

Mr. Onfray argues that atheism faces a “final battle” against “theological hocus-pocus” and must rally its troops. “We can no longer tolerate neutrality and benevolence,” he writes in “Traité d’athéologie,” or Atheist Manifesto, a best seller in France, Italy and Spain. “The turbulent time we live in suggests that change is at hand and the time has come for a new order.”

Not a light read but a very interesting insight into some of the many movements gaining momentum in Western Europe.

We have just heard from Shannon, who is in Australia waiting for a fiancee visa so she can return to the UK to get married. The visa has been granted! We are very excited and had been praying for a positive result. Thanks to all who have prayed also. Not sure on her intended arrival date, hopefully sooner rather than later.
