Have been in Orlando for 3 days now and had a great time catching up with Nathan, Lindsay & their 2 girls Jocelyn and Gabriella. Managed to get a bit sunburnt yesterday when we went to the Puerto Rican Parade in downtown Orlando, more by accident than design. I meet with Paul & Mary and then Bethany, 3 of our new staff, later today and then fly to Chicago tonight where the weather is about 28 degrees colder …. brrrrr.

I head off to Vancouver and USA early in the morning. I’ll be training the staff in each of the offices in Canada and America for the next 10 days and will also visit some new staff that will be moving to the UK later this year.

I have just recently got over a severe bout of the flu. I don’t know what it is about the UK/European version but it is deadly! Last time it hit I was in central Ukraine and lost 2 days to delirium and sleep. I briefly remember meeting some people in a couple of towns, speaking by candlelight in a church, numerous overnight train trips and standing in snow on isolated station platforms at midnight, waiting for aforementioned trains. This time I was at home and was able to stay in bed for a number of days.
