God Moves in Romania

On a recent NLI trip to Romania, a group of pastors and leaders from the UK, Scotland, USA and Canada were shown around the new Church Planting project that begins officially in 2008. We have already got a number of new church plants established and need to bring more partner churches from the West to join with them over the next 10 years.

On the Sunday, the team divided into five groups to preach across the Galati and Braila region. Two team members went to one of the most traditional churches in the region. The service lasted five hours, because so many people came forward for prayer after the preaching of God's word. Many miracles took place that day. We believe that many more miraculous signs and wonders will take place over the coming years, as mission teams flood into the region.

Summer Interns

The last couple of months has been a very busy time here in Europe, with summer comes a lot of short term missions teams going into Europe and most of the staff trying to fit holidays in while we get some nice weather. We also will have a number of summer interns coming to help us in the international office. This year we will have 4 over the next few months for various lengths of time. It is such a great opportunity for young people to experience missions from the inside. They get not only the opportunity to travel into project countries but also they get the combined experience of all the full time staff. Men and women from many different countries with years of practical experience.

Family News

Some good news, Asha's health has been on the improve, she has been gaining weight steadily and seems to be on the road to full recovery. Thank you to all who have stood with us in prayer. She has been busy hairdressing and one of her clients is wanting to pay for her to travel to Rome to do all the hairstyle's for a wedding!

Shannon our second daughter has returned to the UK on a fiancee visa and she will get married at the end of September to a young man from here in the UK. We have a number of family members traveling here next month. It will be good to see them after nearly 3 years.

Daniel has finished college and gained high distinctions which give him instant approval to university, however due to our residential status he is only eligible to attend as an international student, this takes the fees from £2000.00 per annum to up to £9,000.00 pa. So he has had to put on hold going to university at this stage.

Lynda has been busy at the bank and is looking forward to attending Eurosummit this year in Krakow, Poland. This will be the first time she is able to attend and will really enjoy spending time with some of our partners from Europe, North America and Australasia.

Scott had a very fruitful trip to Poland and things are looking good for Eurosummit 2007. We have recently set our missional goal to have a functional ministry relationship in 46 nations of Europe. There are also a number of new initiatives at NLI to help us achieve that goal so the next 10-15 years is looking exciting, as we continue to see new projects in new countries, it will be both challenging and rewarding.
