Eurosummit 2007 - Krakow, Poland

We held our biennial conference this month in Krakow, Poland. There were 100 leaders from Europe, Australia, NZ and North America. It was a fantastic opportunity to share not only the past 2 years of success and growth, but to also focus on the way forward. It was great to have Garry Rucci from EdgeChurch there also and we appreciated the opportunity to connect with him and get a bit of an update on what's happening in Australia. One of the better moments in the conference was seeing the leaders that we are working with in Europe get the opportunity to share all the exciting things that are happening in their countries and specifically in their cities.

We had one afternoon free so Lynda & I went to the concentration camps of Auschwitz and Birkenau. Probably not the most uplifting of places to go but definitely worthwhile to see the sheer scale of the horror and brutality that was inflicted on so many innocents. It was even more poignant knowing that a number of the European guys that accompanied us had parents and grandparents in those camps. I put some photos on the website that I took while we were there if you are interested?

The final nights celebration dinner was highlighted, or should that be lowered by one of the worst Polish folk bands that have ever performed live. It was so bad we actually had fun! Needless to say everyone will remember that night! All that said we all had a great time and look forward to the next Eurosummit in 2009.

Car Fund

We have had a great response to our car need, we are still believing for the final amounts to come in quickly so we can take advantage of the great deal we have been offered. A huge thankyou to all who prayed and or contributed, we are sincerely thankful for all your support. If you are wanting to help us raise the last small amount then please contact us or if you like you can use the PayPal button on the sidebar on the right.

Family News

We are all well and happy, September/October were extremely busy months due to the lead up to Eurosummit, family visiting from Australia and Japan to attend Shannon's wedding, Shannon and Tim's wedding and a 2 day trip to Paris. It seemed like it was non stop! Shannon's wedding was such a wonderful time and Scott's first of three father of the bride moments went well and he fit the role perfectly.

Daniel has had a recurring issue with his shoulder dislocating easily, and on a much more regular basis. As a result he is due to go into hospital on the 16th December for shoulder reconstruction, so he would appreciate your prayers at this time. He will be unable to work or play the guitar for about 6 weeks, so please pray that he will heal quickly.

Lynda attended Eurosummit this year and had a tremendous time with other staff and leaders for Europe and further. It was her first time at Eurosummit and will remember it for a long time to come.

Scott heads to Romania, (third time's a charm!) at the end of the month to oversee and train the project staff and make sure that the project office is established properly. He will then partake in the lauch ceremony that will see 14 church planters commissioned for the project that will run for the next three years.
