Czech CP project

Czech Church Planting

This year saw the early beginnings of the Czech Republic church planting project. This will be the second church planting project we have done in Czech. We have been conducting advanced leadership development there for the last couple of years and have seen some excellent progress amongst the men and women that regularly attend. One of the challenges that we face within Europe is the constantly increasing costs in many of the countries that we are working in. Finding new ways to plant churches and yet maintain the same successes and financial viability is a constant motivator to us all, fortunately one of our strongly held values is that of "continuous improvement".

NLI 2.0

During March I traveled to Canada and the USA to train the staff in our National Offices located in Vancouver and Indiana. It is such a privilege to meet with the full time staff and volunteers who devote themselves to seeing the kingdom advance in Europe. They work consistently and diligently behind the scenes without complaint, they are just as important to the success of each project than those at the coal face.

During this trip I also took part in a series of meetings to create the way forward for NLI which we have dubbed as NLI 2.0. This is to find the way that will help us to achieve our goal of having a functional ministry relationship in 47 nations of Europe by 2020. These proved to be hugely productive and as such the organisation is in a prime position to realise these goals.

Family News

We are all well and enjoying the prospect of actually getting a summer this year! We will reapply for our visas this year and would appreciate your prayers, nothing is ever guaranteed with the Home Office here in the UK.

Scott will be in Australia for 3 weeks in June, this is primarily a support raising trip and he will be busy connecting with future partners. He would however love to catch up with you should time and availability permit? Please email him if you would like to catch up and he will set aside some time.

Toni our eldest daughter got engaged on New Year's eve and the wedding takes place at the end of June this year in Tokyo. We are all excited for her and Noboru.

Daniel has started to improve after his shoulder operation. He has a wicked looking scar but that's better than the alternative. He also has secured a job as a teaching assistant in the music department of a local high school.

Lynda is looking forward to Toni's wedding and especially more opportunities to realise her goal of having many grandchildren :)
