Prayer Teams Target Slovakia

Prayer teams are one of the most effective things we do here at NLI. They are often small teams who travel between several cities, engage in spiritual warfare, & encourage the men and women who work “at the coal face”. We mobilise several teams each year into the church planting projects and always get incredible feedback from these missions! Here’s what Mark and Liz (church planters in Slovakia) have to say about the prayer team from Portland (US) who visited them in April.

“An NLI prayer team came to visit us in Sala, a small city in Slovakia where we are planting a church. Up to that point the work we had been doing had been going well, with an increase in the number of people coming to our outreach programs. However, personally, as leaders we were feeling tired, spiritually dry and really in need of refreshment. We can honestly say that refreshment is exactly what this team brought. Even though they were only able to spend a few hours with us, as they prayed over us and the work here in Sala, they confirmed promises that God had already spoken over us. ..read the full article on the website

Australian Trip - October 2010

I will be heading to Australia in the latter part of September for just over a month whereupon Lynda will join me towards the end of October. Two reasons are first and foremost our support needs and secondly I'll be facilitating a number of training events in Brisbane over this period. Our plan has always been to raise enough personal support for both Lynda and I to work with NLI. Over the last twelve months there has been a decline in our existing support. So we need to raise our existing support to healthy levels and then believe God for increase to see Lynda released also.

NLI is in a great position for further expansion and growth, so this is a critical time with extra staff being a key ingredient to our continued success. We would love to catch up with you while we are in Australia, so drop us an email today.

Personal Update

As we look back over the last few years we have been so blessed, multiple weddings, engagements, our first grandchild, visitors from home, we had so many friends and family join us for Asha & Andrew's wedding, (how we managed to fit 26 people into "the dollhouse" is nothing short of a miracle). It was a fantastic time however and we were sad to see everyone leave.

Next month Scott heads over to Budapest for a few days to look at future event venues, so please pray for successful meetings.

On a practical note we are having issues with emails bouncing back so some of you may not have received our newsletter? Hopefully we have the issue sorted now?
